These Competitions are a great opportunity to come together to learn, to foster new business development and compete for prize money totaling more than $40,000!

McCloskey Business Plan Competition
Traditional entrepreneurial ventures, inventions, ideas, etc. compete in the McCloskey Business Plan Competition.  Previous winners of this competition have included an alternative to blinds and shades, an organic solution for lawn care needs and a courier service offering same-day delivery of online purchases. Tracks will allow students of all majors and those of all backgrounds to participate competitively in each of the following areas:  Arts; Sciences; Service Industry; Low-Tech and Finance, and High-Tech and Engineering.
Sustainable Social Venture Competition
The Sustainable Social Venture Competition combines entrepreneurship with a social mission or purpose, serving a “double or triple bottom line” by incorporating financial, social and/or environmental sustainability.  This competition puts a distinctively Notre Dame “spin” on entrepreneurship, pairing it with our history of social mission.  Past winners include a unique housing solution for working families in underdeveloped countries, a company which mixes tourism in Cambodia with volunteerism, and a reseller of used books which supports literacy programs and provides environmental benefits.
