Annual Social Venture Plan Competition |
| Social Venturing or
Social Entrepreneurship is the amazing opportunity to combine
entrepreneurism and a social mission/purpose. Whether it’s
creating a sustainable resource model for providing a light
source in an underdeveloped country, or developing a collaborative
model for a non-profit and for-profit partnership in an inner
city, developing a business plan with a social mission or purpose
is a way to enact these social visions and plan for sustainability.
The Gigot Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the Mendoza
College of Business is pleased to announce the sixth annual
Notre Dame Social Venture Plan Competition (SVPC). With its
history of social mission, Notre Dame continues to foster a
spirit of collaboration between business and social ventures
through this competition. Participants submit a social venture
plan – a business plan with a social mission/purpose to
compete for more than $7,500 in total prize money. Judges for
the competition will include social entrepreneurs and other
business professionals. This competition is co-sponsored by
the Master of Nonprofit Administration program. |
