Konrad Billetz began working on Frameri while earning his MBA at Notre Dame. Growing up, he wore glasses for as long as he could remember and always disliked being stuck with the same frames for months or sometimes years. Since no one else had created interchangeable frames for prescription lenses, Billetz set out to do it himself. 
Frameri offers frames in various colors and styles that all fit the same set of lenses, so switching styles based on preference or season is simple. A runner up in the McCloskey Business Plan Competition in 2013, his idea was quick to catch on, and he had the opportunity to pitch his idea to investors on “Shark Tank.”  Later, Billetz was featured in Forbes’s 30 Under 30 in Manufacturing, cementing his status at a key player in the eyewear industry.
