While preparing your executive summary keep in mind that plans will be evaluated on the following criteria, which we consider critical to the success and sustainability of social ventures:

  • Potential for seed value impact.  Does the team have the skills, resources and capacity to add significant value?  Do they exhibit a strong potential for sustaining a healthy support network?
  • Differentiation. What makes this venture distinctive and can it be measured over time?
  • Customers and need. Are there lots of prospective customers that need what the venture delivers, and are these needs not being met currently?
  • Sustainability. Will the venture be profitable and enduring so it can tackle important social issues?

Waiver(s)

In addition to the above, individual waiver forms must be signed by each member on the team and submitted to Gigot by October 13, 2006.
